Running with the fools

Proverbs 13 vs 20
He who walks with wise men will be wise,
But the companion of fools will suffer harm.
Who are you running with?
I'll give you a different spin on this.
Most of you are familiar with The Running of The Bulls in
Pamplona Spain. This is where the bulls are transported from
the corals to the bullring, where they are killed. Unfortunately
anyone can participate in running with (or away from) them.
Young people enjoy doing this to show off their bravery.
As exciting as this can seem. Its short-lived excitement for many
that get caught up in the bull's path. Even the bull's themselves
get hurt by slipping on the pavement, which their hooves were
not designed to run on. Over the years people have been
trampled over, gored and even killed by this event.
Let's title this brief message "Running with the fools", to help put
things into perspective. Just imagine that the bulls (fools) are those
individuals in your life, that you know, are heading to a life of destruction.
They're running for their life far from God and putting themselves into
impending danger. Not only are they heading for danger, but so are you.
Why? Because you chose to run with them, ignoring all of the warning
signs.
Is the Lord trying to get your attention by putting warning signs in your path?
Are you putting yourself in harm's way by running with the fools? If so, I pray
that this message touches your heart, awakens your senses, and encourages
you to seek Godly friends, wisdom and council.
